I always go to the PRIDE Parade in NYC, so, of course, this year I was happy to make it to the Chicago festivities. I have to admit though, the New York parade did seem to somehow have more glitter or something. Also, the NYPD is MUCH stricter. The vibe in Chicago was more laid back, people had open containers in the street without a problem. That would never fly in the Big Apple.
