L. Frank Baum, a children's writer who produced fantasy literature, wrote the widely loved story The Wizard of Oz in Chicago! Oz Park in Lincoln Park was named to commemorate this author and figures of the Oz characters stand to brighten the faces of all visitors and stand over the park.
